TexProtects CEO named to Prevention Advisory Board
The Protect Our Kids Commission, created by the 83rd Texas Legislature, issued its final report in December 2015 and recommended that the Department of Family and Protective Services create a permanent, high-level Prevention Advisory Board to make recommendations toward a statewide child safety strategy and look for additional sources of funding to expand programs to prevent child abuse in Texas. TexProtects is pleased to announce that our CEO Madeline McClure has been asked by DFPS Commissioner John Specia to serve on this board, and she has accepted. Madeline looks forward working with the board and helping it expand evidence-based prevention programs that will make Texas families stronger and save taxpayers money.
