TexProtects in the Press: CPS Hearing, Calls for Better Caseworker Pay and Working Conditions

It's been a busy week for TexProtects on the airwaves and in newspapers. At an explosive hearing in the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday, lawmakers demanded that Child Protective Services take emergency actions to locate high-risk children and that the agency produce a plan for better compensating employees and improving their work environment. Texas' news media reached out to TexProtects for expert analysis on the situation, and online today (in print October 30), the Dallas Morning News ran an op-ed by our CEO Madeline McClure reiterating our core belief - the best way to fix CPS is to keep kids from needing CPS:
