ALERT: Legislative Budget Writers Propose an Alarming Drop in State Prevention Investments!

Last week, the Texas House and Senate released their respective budget proposals for Fiscal Years 2018-19. Child Protective Services did see a $210 million-$260 million boost in the introduced budget.

However, we are greatly alarmed that the state's portion of funding for evidence-based child abuse prevention programs has been virtually eliminated.
